RISE THEN, O YE SAINTS
Tune: "Hark the Herald Angels Sing"

Joe R. Terrell

When the God of Heav'n above, Chose His saints to save in love,
Justice cried, "It cannot be, They must die eternally."
Justice word Christ did refute. "I shall be their Substitute."

REFRAIN
Rise then, O ye saints, and sing, Heartfelt praises to your King.
Jesus Christ, our Sovereign Lord, By your saints you are adored.

When the time was fully come, God the Father sent His Son,
Holy, spotless, undefiled; He to death His soul did yield.
All our sins on Him were laid, Justice cried, "The price is paid!"

Ris'n again the Savior reigns, He has broken death's dark chains;
And our Lord will come again, All His saints to gather in.
Then with bodies glorified, We shall see The Crucified.
