"Justified" most blessed word,
Ever by a sinner heard!
Hear the gospel as it cries,
"It is God that justifies!"
Justified, there's no debate,
"Whom He did predestinate,"
Them He called and glorified,
In His Son then justified.
Justified by grace alone,
In the Just One always known;
From God's wrath now ever spared,
Righteous evermore declared!
Justified by Christ's own blood,
At the cross a cleansing flood;
Law and justice satisfied,
Saying, "It is Christ that died."
Justified by God the Just,
In Christ ever brought to trust.
Resting in His righteousness
Looking to be ever blessed.
Justified through faith God gives
In the One who ever lives;
Faith that sees Christ crucified,
And me in Him justified.
