This is a faithful word,
Straight from the Faithful One:
Christ Jesus, God's begotten Son,
Emmanuel has come.
Into the world He came,
From heaven's holy throne.
A work He came to do an did,
For all the Father's own.
He came to seek and save,
His lost ones from their sin.
They through His blood and righteousness,
Now by Him enter in.
He saved the sinner chief,
Who through it grace received;
And show this saying worthy still,
To be by us believed.
So, come ye sinners, all!
The Savior's Word is true.
Believe on Christ who saves from sin,
And makes us creatures new.
