Before our God we come today
His greatness to record;
To praise again His wondrous way
In Jesus Christ our Lord.
Our sins were higher than our head
Our hearts but pain and strife;
In Adam's trespass lying dead
Without the Christ of Life.
In mercy great He came to us
His gospel to reveal
His Spirit gave us faith to truth
And in us placed His seal.
Now in the blood of Christ we rest
The Lamb forever slain;
His righteousness by faith our best,
We know no other gain.
Oh God before your throne we plead
Your presence grant us now
Our hungry souls your word to feed
As at your feet we bow.
