How excellent, how excellent!
Your Name, O Lord, above is set.
Your glory over all the earth
Shines in the wonder of its worth.
The mouths of children do proclaim
As those ordained to spread your fame;
And all your enemies do see
You conquer all in victory.
When we consider all you've made
The moon and stars their courses laid
The heavens have their glory shined
"O, what is man that you would mind."
The man beneath the angels made
A crown of glory on his head.
Dominion in his hands did meet
All things created 'neath his feet.
Let everything your hand has made
Bring praise for all your pow'r displayed;
But let those saved by grace exclaim,
"How excellent, O Lord, your name!"
