The faith of God's elect is one
In every age the same;
It is the truth of Jesus Christ,
At all times still the Same.
He is the mighty God in flesh,
The man, that He might die;
The cross He suffered in our place,
"Tis finished," was His cry.
Each one who looks to Him in faith,
(The faith that He must give),
Does show himself a chosen child;
And in His life they live.
The faith of God's elect is one
And in the Righteous One;
Who by Himself is all our Hope;
And others have we none.
Oh, has His Spirit made you live?
All other hopes reject?
Believing on the Son you show,
The faith of God' s elect.
