IN CHRIST I'M SECURE

Make me, O Lord, to know my end
The measure of my days;
Soon to the grave I shall descend,
And leave this earthly maize
One thing shall happen to us all,
The Bible tells us so;
This flesh is destined for a fall,
For death will lay it low.
It is appointed – I must die
And walk death's solemn way;
Bid earthly ties a last goodbye,
Then leave behind this clay.
Then to the God Who dwells on high,
In glory all His own;
This soul of mine shall quickly fly,
To meet Him at His throne.
With anxious heart and needy soul,
Lord hear this sinner's plea;
I need Thy Son to make me whole,
Acceptable for Thee.
In Jesus' robe of righteousness,
Washed in His blood so pure;
My soul shall by the Judge be blessed –
In Christ I am secure!
